Vision
The NDIA Mile High Chapter will provide exciting and interesting
opportunities for our members to grow professionally and personally
within the national defense and security industry.
Mission
The NDIA Mile High Chapter will provide a forum to attract and retain
members who want to thrive in the areas of national defense and security
through:
- Fostering relationships with defense customers
- Educational programming,
- Networking,
- Initiating dialog with government
representatives,
- Mentoring, and
- Capability mining.
Member Benefits
Our chapter members receive many benefits including:
• Meetings every other month at Denver-area locations,
offering quality time for networking with others involved in national
security and defense projects.
• Talks by knowledgeable and well-connected speakers during our lunch
programs to relay information and insights on topics of interest.
• Time during lunch programs to make short presentations about your
business to peers in the defense and national security areas.
• Opportunity to bring your hiring needs to the attention of the
membership and to hear what jobs are available from other members.
• Fun activities throughout the year, allowing members to become better
acquainted in an informal setting, such as ball games and tours of local
military installations and plants hosted by senior military commanders
and top defense company executives.
• Programs with key government contracting officials designed to let you
strengthen professional relationships with government and industry.
• Training programs of 1/2 to 1-day, providing nuts and bolts
information on topics of interest, such as federal contracting, export
controls, and work force retention.
• A one-year subscription to the monthly National Defense magazine.
• Access to programs at the national level of the organization,
including technical and policy symposia (about 80 per year).
• From our national office, an advocate in Washington to work with
Congress and the Executive Branch on industry issues and to guide
legislation and policy.
• The ability to find or post a job by using www.defensejobs.com, an
employment web site for the defense industry .
• Use of the annual Mega Directory issue of National Defense magazine
and, for our corporate members, the ability to list capabilities and
contacts in the directory.
• For our corporate members, a link from NDIA's Member Company web page
to your web site. By joining, you can also post a company profile on the
Defense 21 website.
• Approximately 20 exhibitions per year to helps corporate members
promote your business and establish relationships with current and
prospective customers.
• A forum for the interchange of ideas and technology between government
and industry, including activities aimed toward shaping issues and
influencing defense policies.
• Savings on air travel and car rentals through NDIA partnerships.
• Other unique member benefits are available for lifetime members.
Activities, lunches, programs, and exhibitions have separate
registration fees.
